I am a proofreader and translator with 5 years experience in proofreading, translating and editing a whole range documents. I can help you to fine tune your writing to achieve the best effect possible. I can help you with anything from a basic grammar and typo check to providing more extensive stylistic and structural suggestions as well as editing for longer texts, such as essays, marketing materials, reports, or instructional texts. My focus as a writer and editor is on clarity, purpose and effectiveness.
With five and a half years of study under my belt (Languages, Literatures and Society undergraduate study (B.A.) and a Master's degree in Translation Studies) combined with a further six years of professional freelance experience, I have developed a unique toolkit of writing skills that you will have trouble finding elsewhere.

This is the most basic service level. I will go through your document and identify any linguistic errors, i.e. typos, grammatical problems, unclear expressions. As proofreader, my role is always to refine your writing, remove anything that could obscure what you are trying to communicate and to identify stylistic inconsistencies and potential enhancements.
This is the more involved service tier for more complex or more important texts. This level is ideal for authors and writers who want more than just linguistic corrections. Working in tandem with you, I provide the proofreading level service as well as giving more in-depth feedback on your writing and identifying and implementing higher level textual enhancements, i.e. with regard to structure and stylistics in order to fine-tune your text for its purpose while maintaining and developing your authorial voice.
I also provide translation services for German and Indonesian language. I can translate your German or Indonesian language texts/documents into English for you. Similar to proofreading and editing, this service is available in different tiers depending on your needs: from a simple translation for meaning only ("gloss"), to publication quality full service professional translation.
